How we use your information

• To verify account access and secure sign-in.
• To personalize event recommendations and friend suggestions.
• To power social features such as flares, chat, and activity status.
• To prevent abuse and keep the platform safe.

Location privacy

You control how your location is shared. You can choose among exact, approximate, hidden, or limited sharing options per event and by preference. You can revoke or adjust sharing from your profile settings at any time.

Data retention and deletion

We keep records needed for account security, trust signals, and legal obligations. You can request account data export or deletion by contacting support. Some aggregate metrics may remain for analytics and safety operations.

Payment information

Flare does not see or store your card number. If you subscribe inside the iOS or Android app, Apple or Google process the payment and we receive only the fact that a subscription is active. If you subscribe on the web, our payment processor handles the card details directly and passes us a record of the subscription, not the card itself.

We keep billing records for as long as tax and accounting rules require, separately from the profile and location data described above.

Third-party services

Flare uses infrastructure providers for authentication, storage, map rendering, payment processing, and analytics support. All vendors operate under contractual protections that require privacy and security standards.
