Terms
1) Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account and use event-related features. Some events may have stricter age requirements.
2) User Conduct
- Do not post deceptive, abusive, violent, or spam content.
- Do not impersonate others or post events that violate platform policy.
- Respect privacy settings and venue safety guidance.
3) User-generated Content
You retain ownership of your original content, but grant Flare a license to display and distribute it within the app for service operation and improvement. You are responsible for ensuring you have rights to the content you upload.
4) Host responsibilities
Hosts are responsible for the accuracy of event details, legal compliance for their events, venue requirements, and attendee safety instructions. Flare does not own or run the event unless clearly marked.
5) Availability and updates
Flare is continuously evolving. We may update app features, introduce new services, and adjust policies with reasonable notice.
6) Limitation of liability
Flare helps connect people to nightlife opportunities but is not liable for physical events, third-party actions, or outcomes beyond the platform features we provide.
7) Subscriptions and billing
Flare is free to use. Flare Pass ($9.99 per month) and Flare Crew ($24.99 per month) are optional paid plans. Finding events, the map, check-ins and messaging do not require a paid plan and will not start costing money without you choosing to subscribe.
Who bills you depends on where you subscribed. If you subscribe inside the iOS or Android app, the subscription is sold and billed by Apple or Google under their terms: they take the payment, manage renewals, and handle cancellations and refunds. If you subscribe on flarenightdiscovery.com, we bill your card through our payment processor and handle those things ourselves.
Paid plans renew automatically at the end of each billing period until you cancel. Cancelling stops the next renewal; your plan stays active until the end of the period you have already paid for, and we do not pro-rate part-periods.
- To cancel an in-app subscription, use your Apple or Google account settings. Deleting the Flare app does not cancel a subscription.
- To cancel a web subscription, use your Flare account settings, or contact us.
- Refunds for in-app subscriptions are handled by Apple or Google under their policies, not by Flare. For web subscriptions, contact us.
If we change the price of a plan, we will tell you before the change takes effect and you will have the chance to cancel first.
8) What happens if a paid plan ends
Your account, your events and your history stay yours. When a paid plan lapses or is cancelled, the features that plan unlocked stop being available, and any events you have already published stay published. Losing a plan does not delete your account or your past events.
